Letter to Webmaster- from Brad M. (continued)

Hi V.! Sorry for the delay and I hope this email didn't take too long to download as I am not so good with e-pictures and it took me a little while to find someone who had a scanner:) But here they are:
Pic3 Pic3 is the lift device which can be found in a small chamber to the side of the courtyard. According to what my Transylvanian friend Erika had gotten from the caretaker, it was installed during the time of Queen Marie because she wanted an elevator going to the escape tunnel. I took this photo when we still trying to determine if there actually was a subterranean part of the castle.
Pic4 Pic4 is a photo of the elevator control panel at the bottom of the shaft. As you can see, it is not serviceable. I took this picture because I wanted to invite some speculation from other people as to whether or not there might be a hidden level somewhere between the Castle and the escape tunnel located at the bottom of the shaft. The 3 buttons do seem to suggest 3 "floors" but then again, they could just be an "up", "down", and "stop" button.
Pic5 Pic5 is me going down the tunnel toward the elevator shaft. It's about 40m or so from the entrance to the shaft. Please excuse my unkempt appearance. Bear in mind that we did this at 2:00 a.m. and it was a little dirty down there:)

Pic6 Pic6 is me standing at the bottom of the shaft and looking upward. My flashlight wasn't strong enough to see more than about 15m so pretty much anything could be up there.

Pic7 And Pic7 is me entering the threshold (after the fact for the camera:-). I think someone had broken in here a long time before us and had removed the bottom panel of the door to get in. Later, caretakers must have blockaded the door as an expedient solution, but the blockade (as we learned) is fairly simple to climb over.
Q:How did you gain access inside the Castle at night?? A:The entrance to the escape tunnel is located in the small Park at the foot of the castle about 80 meters to the right of the stairs to the castle entrance. There are plenty of shadows around it at night making it fairly easy to enter without being detected. The only problem is that the blockade is metal and there are also some metal plates immediately in front of it so it can be a little challenging to get in without making any noise. Somehow we did it though without attracting the attention of the neighbors' dogs. I know all this sounds pretty shady. I can assure you that we didn't damage anything in the least nor did we take anything that wasn't ours. Our only intention was to discover the unknown:) I just wish that I had had some proper climbing equipment and then we could've found out if there really was another level or not. Personally, I think there is. The Lonely Planet Guide says: "A fountain in the courtyard conceals a labyrinth of secret underground passages." I don't see how just one tunnel could qualify as a labyrinth. Well, V., I hope you like the pictures. They certainly aren't as nice as the other ones on your web site, but maybe they'll prompt someone out there on the internet to come forward with the real secrets of Bran's Labyrinth. If you ever find out, please drop me a line! I'd love to know!
Regards,
Brad M.
