I think she was a running car without a driver. Part of what went wrong I think is that she was a lady with poor self control left with power but no responsible governing. As result, she fell in to the ever so common situation of making all the wrong friends, became a wild party animal, got in to lifestyles that were demonized by her community for a valid reason and one thing led to another.

If you read the history of her life, it signifies that she started out as this naive, seemingly decent adolescent and ended up a bloodthirsty sadistic murderer. While she herself is responsible for her crimes, the people who were responsible for her and supposed to love and be their for her themselves bare some responsibility for having played the greater role in making her what she became through negligence and not caring when they should have.

I do think her life is an example to learn from. One apologetic once said: â€

She is history. The world forgot all about her when she was left in her own castle boarded up in a room where she could no longer do anything but eat meals brought to her until she was found dead. This woman who was known for her beauty and cruelty died a slow death in obscurity. She no longer lives in this world which history needed to forget. :D
